Which software?

Hi,

I realised that when using my Sony HD camcorder, each time when press the stop button the video clips is in its individual segment (since there is no pause button).

So when taking for an event, I'll ended up with many sequential video segments instead of a continuous running video for the event.

What is the software I need to get in order to edit in my PC to merge all the video segments into a continuous video show?

Thanks in advance.

cheers

Hi Teo,

I don't quite get what you mean.
All camcorders will split the recordings into clips or individual segments automatically after you press the "stop" button.

However, if you want all the segments to play one after another in a continuos video show, you just need to place them one after another continuously in the timeline of the video editing software. Then, you have to export the entire sequence of segments. The end product would be a video file.

You can use any video editing software to edit your video. There's Microsoft Movie Maker, Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle and many others.

Is this the answer you're looking for ?

Hi Azman,

Very much appreciate to your reply as it answers to my questions.

Thank you

The list of software below are merely the programs I use. Don't rush out to get it just because I mentioned them. They may be buggy, may not work on your machine, may cause data loss, hair loss, earthquakes, and what-have-you. Or, they may simply not suit your style of working.

Have you ever tried to extract under Windows File Explorer & import in the timeline of your video editing sofware ?

Have not tried before.
