Which SLR is better?

Oh man, you don't know what you just missed. I just saw and held that Pentax in my hands (I bought a 50mm lens from the same seller :D), it's in like brand new condition, and seems works great too. Pity it's been bought by another guy.

I had tried Minolta Dynax 5 and EOS 300 (same range)

I like both for different reasons. In the end I chose Canon as my friends are using it and more lenses in 2nd hand market compare to Minolta.

So for the Price range of $300.... go for the above 2 rather than nikon f55/60/65.

And yah.... get the 50mm ... cheapest prime to play around with.

the price range I mention is 2nd hand price. Sorry to mislead you.

Watch out in Buy and Sell forum for the eos300.

Dynax5 hard to come by:
1) Owner not willing to sell since it's so good :) or
2) less people with minolta slr.

actually what's the price range like for a brand new one? $500 plus?
 

Canon EOS 300 QD (film camera) with Battery Grip and Vivitar 28-210/F4.2-6.5 with Skylight filter (67mm) and hood. Will throw in a no-brand toploader that can hold everything just nice.
