oh please, cats aren't as annoying as some humans, if you ask me. my neighbours are hell noisier than any cat, kids running about and screaming at the top of their lungs at cafes/restaurants with parents sitting by and doing NOTHING, people sitting at the bottom of void decks, making wolf whistles, throwing things down the block, murder, rape, abuse, etc.... these are things humans do. and humans aren't animals, we have the mind to discern right from wrong, and yet there are people who behave worse than animals. it's quite sad isn't it.
what has a cat done?
most of the time, a cat will only attack you if you provoke it. and cats are very clean, unless they are sick.
if you ask me, children without any parental discipline, running about outside, making a lot of noise and disturbing other people, these are the ones who cause much more annoyance. does that mean we are going to kill them?
and anyone who can do that to an animal, i wouldn't be surprised if the same person eventually does it to a human.

Hmmmm... A few cats in my area has about the same looks and it looks identical to me.. but i hope it is not the one kenna killed.. i remembered that this cat used to hang out with its mother.. but haven't seen it for quite a long time.. maybe kenna killed also.. :cry:

Wow, ever since humans became the dominant species we have been abusing our power and intelligence and preying on weaker animals like these. I'd ask these guys if they have the nuts to fight a real man and not such a delicate little animal.
Cats are pests? What the hell? Humans are more like pests. We multiply like crazy, destroy habitats and occupy that space and compete for resources. That makes us the pests. Whoever said cats are pests, get your science right boys.

animals like humans have their rights. they are part of earth, the one big family that we all belong to. i recently did a similar topic gp discussion in school.(animal rights) they have their freedom to roam around. and you have your freedom to dislike them. but until they do somethign that implicates your freedom, you certainly have no right to do aanything to them. and even if they do intrude your human right, YOU STILL HAVE NO RIGHTS TO PHYSICALLY HARM OR INJURE THEM. the only thing you can do, is to reflect the problem (if it happens more than often) to upper level and let them handle the issue, they sometimes to relocate these stray animals. doing anything cruel to them is not a right that we have. we humans, do not OWN the earth. WE are SHARING it with EVERY OTHER LIVING THING. remember that. and to all those guilty of abuse. karma will bite them sooner or later. just watch it.

you seem to imply that there's necessary and unnecessary violence. Do we really have to be violent to a poor cat? I cannot really think of any instances that force has to come into picture.
I don't quite get that vegetarian snide too.

But cats not being pests? Look, the SPCA themselves put stray cats/dogs to sleep.
And some of you, please don't go along the lines of people 'not having the right to kill animals'. How many of you are vegetarians? I stress again that killing in a excessively cruel way (and for the mere sake of killing) isn't right, but otherwise, i'll all for killing animals for food or to rid pestilence.

Since when did I advocate violence? It's amazing how some people can conclude by drawing a baseless assumption. When I mention vegetarian, I was referring to the strong advocacy towards animal life. It's a simple rhetoric. Isn't this and this the same? Tell me you don't eat mutton or chicken, nor do you kill cockcroaches and perhaps some of us people will then stop calling the town councils to cull the neighbourhood of strays. I would love to know some holy people.

FOR he/she who inflicted pains and sufferings on the weak, there will be retributions on he/she who did that.
SPCA do not just put cats to sleep at will...normally the animal will b up for adoption, and i believe putting animals to sleep is a las resort.
i believe there's a meaning to the 'rights to kill' here...
to kill merely for the fun of it is wrong, which is what happen to this poor cat here.
man kills animals for the by-products, but to kill merely for the fun of it, tat's wrong to me.

I think the issue here isn't about being vegetarian or not. Nor is it about killing or not.
I think it's the purpose behind the killing.
1) We kill for food.
2) We kill for fun.
I think the behavior of murdering animals for fun is sick. If the cat is killed and eaten, maybe it's not so bad as the killer kills for food.
