Which should be my next camera?

OT: Haha.. I dun believe I mention/hint anything about bursting with flash? Did I? Depending on the type of seminars /conferences and your equipment often it does not matter much. Anyway, its really up to your preference whether to "burst" or not.

Back to your question on equipment to get, if its an event that you are paid to shoot photos, I would advise bringing DSLR setup. :)

Burst with flash is just citing an example.

Nowadays i dont really shoot for money. So its ok. Some pros also replaced dslr with m4/3 though i also dont recommend for paid job. In any case i can easily get hold of a dslr if one day i need to shoot paid job.

I know some full-time working photographers are shooting with m43 (me included), but frankly speaking as far that I know not many of them shoot solely with m43 system for events & wedding photography.

As a business owner, when I purchase a piece of gear I would think of its ROI first and if its necessary or just a desire . If you are doing mostly for leisure, than you free to purchase to your heart desires. Personally I think your current cameras is more than sufficient. Just my 2 cents :)

I second that!

what ROI?

passion is their rewards already and that is priceless, else like what you've said, than they better to look for free cameras.

Yes a business minded photographer buys a piece of gear and uses it to make many times over the money he paid for it. ROI doesn't apply maybe depreciation.

ROI with cameras comes in with dilettante level. Always need latest greatest new stuff to make him/her a better shooter or upgrade himself to I have arrived amateur status.

I can't begin to tell you how much money (ROI) I have made peddling old bodies and lenses and other assorted crap...or how much I have lost chasing what I read and believed on the internet...but then that is the retail/wholesale side of photography which is probably best kept separated from the passion.

dilettante - learnt a new word haha.

Back on topic: Its certainly useful to use the same brand to access common accessories and keep the same familiarity when using multiple cameras, particularly in fast paced shooting situations.
Personally I don't think you need to change anything in your setup but if you wanted to, have you considered a pair of the same camera.
I know it doesn't make much economic sense to sell all your existing 3 cameras but a pair of GX8 would work very well don't you think, compared to 3 cameras with different ergonomics and interface.

Roi doesn't apply to me. Otherwise i won't be selling my d300. I will use until it dies to reap back.

It did came to me whether to buy 2 x em10 ii or 2 x gx8. Still undecided. As for d7100, will use for bowling events. For lx100 will be travel purpose.

Saw you mention about silent mode in your earlier post, you may want to consider EM1 as well. :)

There's no e-shutter in e-m1. According to 4 3 rumours, need to wait until end Nov for a firmware update to have e-shutter as a new feature. If that's the case, i will probably consider. Then can also use 43 lenses. I'm quite attracted by 50-200 f2.8-f3.5. Not sure what are the cons of 43 lenses.

I also hope there will be similar update for e-m10. Then i can abandon gx7. Actually i dont even mind 2 x em10 if can have e-shutter. E-m1 is all rounder though, and can give me more confidence.

Is em1 sensor worse than em10? Thinking whether to buy

Get the gx8 if u want the next generation 20MP m43 sensor
