Anyone tried buying off vpost.com.sg? buydig.com is offering the K100D body for US$529 and vpost shipping charges is abt S$9 per kg... how does this work out?

So what is the motivation at that price? After shipping costs and charges, you are better off buying the kit set in singapore at $1100 instead. Unless the US$529 includes the kit lens...

looking at ebay prices i think it includes kit lens.

how about international warranty or local warranty?

If I can remember correctly, my warrantee card has got Shriro pre printed on it. It also states something like 18 months.

As you know with electronic products, it could be a hit and miss thing sometimes.

Save $200-300 but with a possibility of warranty nightmares down the road. Worth it or not?

18mths warranty is quite gd huh, same as Sony ones.
I was thinking of getting lens overseas and Body in SG but seems like cant do so ar.

K100D body based on US$529 + shipping charges = S$832

K100D kit set based on US$581 + shipping charges = S$926

assume separate shipping charges of S$20 and optional insurance charge of S$45; only USA warranty

conclusion: not a gd deal since the camera can be gotten for S$1120 in Singapore.
