Which shop offers a better price and good customer service for year 2012?

For the past year, Cathay has given me consistent good service, with TK in second place. One shop which I will not go back to is Alan photo

My top pick is iPhoto. The 2nd contender is Tk Foto.

I voted for tk, reasonably price items and totally no intention of chopping customer, so far I recommand my friends to buy Dslr from lots of places, the other shop try to chop them with those cheap filter at high prices, only tk sell my friends those cheap filter at $10, that's why when my friend want to buy Dslr, I will either follow them, if cannot follow, I will tell them die die dun buy filter, go for at least hoya or kenko, cost about 20-40 at various shop

AP & SLR they are the best in Funan. Some shops over there only give one time service only. ( Been pay higher price than some shop if u really walk around & ask ) so I will bypass them. I rather wait for the stocks fully in.

Chop? hmm... TK is a one price store...

Not really a one shop price. There a lot of people in CS brought from them below the 'price tag' price. So if you don't do a search before you go down. You will be the one paying more, just few step away, AP can sell you much more cheaper than TK under so call 'price tag' price.

When I did mention someone "so call my friend, which is not" just brought it from them under this price last week, guess what, they can give you the same price which is 10-15% below the 'price tag' price. So I don't think they are the best place to shop in Singapore (for me only)

The best price is you do your homework first, then you go & look around, sure the thing that you brought will be the cheapest among all. ( at least below retail price by less 10-20% )

Well. I just did a walk around Funan Digital Mall B1 to the 4th level. And asked for multiple pricing and package bundles of Canon 600D, TK gave me the most reasonable pricing (and lowest) among the many shops. The service was good and no chopping too

Alan Photo Trading at Sim Lim Square is the best for mi...It could be so due to i know the boss thru a fren & i onli deal with him if necessary.The 2nd placing is TK Foto at Funan Centre,look for an uncle called Richard...The service from him is reasonably good.Cheers guys!

Usually people do a poll at end of the year....now seems too early to make conclusion for 2012.

That said, Orient Photo's staff are quite friendly too.

for me... Cathay is first and SLRR second. SLRR is much better than I thought. Rather impressed. Both are reccommended.
Alan Photo gave me excellent service... suprisingly. even after I insisted on my less than reasonable price. but so far I've only got one lens from them, I don't want to be back to experience bad service as often spoken of here.

the art of bargaining require skills and not pushing the sales staff, push too hard and sales staff face will turn black and in return will not give you good services, after all majority of profit goes to their boss, not them

best is chit chat talk crap and be-friend any of the sales staff, end of the day when you visit them they will automatic give you best prices and in turn good after services and they too will have you as their regular customer, this is what we call give and take
