Which MS Color to visit?

What do you intent to buy? Y don you check what is the best price before going so that when they quote you, u'll know if the price is gd.

Yes, I am doing that. I am waiting for them to reply to y equote request. I have already got equotes from a couple of other shops but looking at Clubsnap's price list, it seems that MS has a better price but the data is a couple months old so I am interested in getting a new quote from them before going there.

Just got my equote from Florence last night. Looks like the price is the lowest among the shops I have asked (some by a few dollars). Well, have been curious about the shop but have not had the opportunity to pay them a visit since it is a bit far from where I stay. So, this will be a good chance for me to find out. Will try to visit both the main store and the AMK hub.

Normally I look for Willie at AMK hub. He have been around for quite sometimes.

I heard stories of inconsistent pricing between the two branches with the main branch providing a more favorable price from the lady boss. What is your experience regarding the pricing?

I m not a regular, so unable to comment much on price difference.
But like what u said, the lady boss may be able to provide a better price.

Most important for me its their service.

Willie and Florence and the male boss... cant remember his name are excellent.

They are able to accommodate you... but of course, we have to be within a certain limits... if you know what I mean.

Cheapest price is not the only Criteria. I once was told by my university lecturer,

Quality, Service, Ambiance

you can only have 2 out of the 3... at most...

So for MS, Service is great! Ambiance is great! Thats a winner leow!

I only been to MS twice, both times buying something there. Both times visited the one at block 711.
1st time got eQuote then visit for camera body purchase. Serve by a friendly lady, whom later I realised is Florence.
2nd time just walk in and purchase a lens, that time the lens I'm looking for haven't got affected by Canon price hike (in Mac), though most other store has increase the price. So I just bought the lens after knowing the price. 2nd time Florence was not there

IMO, from my experience, MS color offers very competitive price, but not always the lowest (for camera body and / or lenses)

however, if the lowest they offer, also cheaper by $10 or $20.

IMO, if after getting the eQuote, I guess both store will sell at the price on the quote when you show them the quote.

IMO, if you interested to get best offer, just keep the eQuote first, walk around 2 shops to ask for price then go to the one quoted the cheaper.

for some unknown reason, if in future I'm going to there again, I will still go to the one in Block 711

From my personal experience I always try to find Florence at the old shop. Afterall she knows me. Just bought a new body and lens from her yesterday in fact hehe.

btw, bought my 50mm1.4 at main branch. he was a big guy. i asked him which is better 50mm f/.4 or 85mm.1.8 since they have the same price. his answer was great, "up to you."

For shops other than MS Color, an email asking them to quote will be enough. For MS Color, use their eQuote page in their website HERE will get you faster response.
