What I get to see from some comparison video clip, the SEL18200 model will self slide down when you extend to max and lift it downwards. So this is issue still exist or any latest batch had correct it?

To me there seems to be the some difference in terms of the feature so just put the weight & size aside for now.

Till now the recommendation is still on the older model SEL18200 over the latest LE version.

To be honest, Active Steady Shot is really better compare with OSS, just go for the SEL18200, no need to think so much haha just go for it...

I'm not cracking my brain anymore, I know SEL18200 is the one to go. Just that I yet to grab a NEX body so no rush going for it. Once NEX-6 reach our shore then is time for my hand to reach for one.

I wonder how long the SEL18200 will stay in production. I have the feeling they might replace it silently with the SEL18200LE even though they denied it when the LE got introduced. It will save Sony/Tamron a few bucks using the same parts and production line.

It's VG10 camcorder's kit lens so it should still stay for a while more.
