Samsung:thumbsup:

I've the Samsung 26" R7 series LCD TV you mention for my room. No complains from me. I simply love that piano black finish. I use it mainly for my Xbox 360 and DVD. Even for normal TV watching, it is quite good also. Even my parents also bought the Samsung 26" R7 series LCD TV for their bedroom(They bought it on their own accord, I never recommend any to them).

Since we talking about LCD TVs, anyone out there using the JVC LT-Z37DX5 LCD TV? Any comments on this set?

Thanks for all the advises and comments have narrowed down to the following...

26" since its just for bedroom... and my bedroom is not that big ;p
1) Samsung LA26R71BX OR
2) Sony KLV-V26A10

Any advises pls? Both have brightness 500cd/m2 but the way cantrast ratio is measured is different for both. One is dynamic ratio of 3000:1 the other is just contrast of 1300:1 :dunno:

dun get too hung up on tech specs. jus let ur eyes judge d images.

ever considered Loewe (model: Spheros R26, Xelos A22)? price? :hung: ...

Ya, it is mentioned that this set is made in Japan. Any opinions on it?

Check out the Loewe LCDs. Its pricey but the tv built and quality is outstanding. The Spheros and the Xelos are older models, check out the new Individual series at Atlas at Millenia Walk ( just saw them last weekend). There's also some cool LCDs built into mirrors, its amazing! :o

The best is still to view both TV yourself. Different people have different perference, so you have to judge for yourself. But you have to watch out for the settings used. Try to use similar settings to compare. And also know what source they used. You may want to bring your own material to test.

I've just been to Sony's new Bravia X series launch last Thurs. This piece of glass is a truely HD TV. If you want true high definition TV, go get it. If anyone know the price, please let me know. My old WEGA TV going for a change very soon. The image is very blurry after a repair!

Check out this TV from Philips.. 32PF9531/98
I've been going around Courts & BEST viewing all LCD TVs that are in display.. and this TV from Philips is outstanding..
Beside the SOLID display and color, it has 2x HDMI input.. that may be important when there is HD TV and HD player in future.. could be as early as next year.. :)

Wait for the true HD 1080 from Sony. The Bravia X series.

Wow, thats 2K more compared to the 46" V-series, so 40" X-series would probably be around $6K

Amoi 37", true HD sommore.... available @ BiG by Safe, call up to ask for cost! :D

heard from a shop owner at simlim that this new x-series supports blue-ray and will make existing LCD TVs obsolete very soon! Thats why LCD prices are dropping like mad but not for plasmas... is that true?

Depends on which standerd will win la.
