Thanks for both the member's and moderator's contribution. We would like to share the following details of the culprit to facilitate in locating the equipment.

Name: Muhammad Haikel Nurafiq
NRIC: S9345581I
Address: BLK 284 #02-334, Choa Chu Kang Ave 3, S(680284)
Contact: 82054922/90534208

He loaned the lens for 3rd of May and was supposed to return them by the 4th of May. We have paid a visit to his place on the 5th of May, where we found out that the suspect did not stay there despite it being his registered address according to the Police.

Anyone with information that may assist in locating the suspect and/or any of the lens previously mentioned is encouraged to contact both us and the Police.
We would be highly appreciative of any assistance relevant to the case, and we wish to conclude this unfortunate incident in a positive light. As such, if the culprit were to voluntary return these lens, we are open to the idea of putting this matter to rest.

I would say the 70-200 F4 non IS version. It is light, produces good IQ and can track fast moving objects quickly.

I wonder why many of you love 24-70L lens. I myself experience it occasionally missing the focus and backfocusing issues spammed in other forums about this lens.

Due to the nature of my work I have no choice but to use 24-70L at times but I'd prefer to use either a wide angle or zoom lens over this any other day.

you sure your mis-focus is not because of your own hand? note that this lens doesn't have IS, proper techniques is required to handle this heavy brick of glass.

I've no issues with 24-70L so far. Sharp with great contrast, very useful general focal range, relatively wide f/2.8 aperture - the perfect general purpose zoom to accompany a FF camera. It's the workhorse of many enthusiasts and professionals.

What is the nature of your work that requires you to constantly shoot wider than 24mm? BTW, 24-70L is a zoom lens. Not sure what your "I'd prefer to use either a wide angle or zoom lens over this any other day" means.

I am working freelance with Straits Times and at many events you cannot move backward thus limiting you with the 16-35. Many people in the newsroom have mostly "abandoned" the 24-70 in favor of the 16-35 as I heard that many experienced the same issue. Perhaps you were the lucky ones to get a good copy of the lens.
