Hi bro, are you able to adjust the stiffness of the turn using the APP? I can't seem to find an answer online

Nice handles. Where did u get them and how much?

Thanks

I pm them on facebook. They replied saying that the stiffness can be achieved only with their white external controller.

Go figure that out. haha

I actually do have a question on these gimbals especially the Beholder DS1. I am currently on an A7R2 witht the MC11 and the sigma 24-35 ARt Lens. Im just doing short clips and nothing major. Im more of a photo guy than a video guy.

1)I am acually looking into buying the DS1 but the specs read that it can hold 1.7K at max. After caluclating, my set up was about 1.6k there about. knowing how heavy the sigma art lens are, will there be a disadvantage of using the DS1 since its heavier at the front.

2) My second option is just to buy a DJI Osmo.

Which will be a better option?

My buddy had a DS1. Broke down without using it. The shop that sold him, denies the warranty part. Tells him warranty does not include shipping costs which works out to be $180 for two way. This excludes parts.

I used to own the OSMO. It's quite fun but it also had problems such as wifi connections and batteries. Despite having 3 batteries, you have to do a hard reset every single time. Despite having 'warranty', the shop that sold me told me that I have to deal w the bad product myself: send to DJI and bear the costs myself.

If u are looking for a fun thing, the OSMO may be better although there's no shallow DOF. Now that the prices have dropped, you can experiment it.

if you wants hassle free... get the crane...can hold up to 1.8kg.. but if you're start to think of osmo... may as well buy mobile phone gimbal...I got one selling at $200... can fit iphone 4 or 5.. never tried on iphone 6 though

I've seen it mentioned in at least one review (could be cheesycam) and various comments on different reviews, that A7 series with some lenses still okay to a certain point. The limitation will be with front heavy setups (more likely with adapted lenses cos of the added length). The design of the DS1, there's a limit to how far back the camera can go to offset the front weight. So even if the load is within spec, it won't be a good fit for a front heavy setup. So based on that, I'd say option 1 would likely be out. I've read even the native 16-35 will cause it to be too front-heavy.

I am using DS 1 with Canon 5D3 and 24-105. It works when you use the 24mm. With 105, it protrudes too much causing imbalance. Better still, use a fixed 24mm lens. Overall it works if u happen to get a good unit. My first unit, the whole charging port came out when I pulled out the USB charging plug. Luckily the shop did a one-to-one exchange.
