Which eye do you use?

right handed, left master eye, right eye through viewfinder haha! but i forced myself to use me right eye, and after seeing so many lefties, maybe ill switch

NO i cant take out my eyes and switch them. hahaha but i can change master eye if i concentrate.

but usually use right eye coz i right handed. and left eye open if i need to see outside the frame. eg everything else happening

initially I was using my right eyes, currently changed to use my left eye as my right eye can see other thing... =p

That happens when i use my right eye, but when using left eye, i dun have to.. and can still see through the viewfinder clearly! weird

that is not weird. It means that your left eye is the master eye. The dominant eye. When you want to use your right eye without closing your left, your left will still dominate.

Use third eye lah LOL. Frankly I prefer to use the right eye looking through the viewfinder but my left eye remains open. Gets me into a "zone" kinda thing. People who play sports would probably know what i mean. You brain becomes attuned to the subject and its immediate surroundings - everything else you're only sorta aware of. The only problem with this approach is when using a completely manual camera I sometimes forget to check the shutter speed.

It's amazing what our brains are capable of - focusing, composition, determining best f-stop for the scene and shutter speed to stop action or to show speed. To focus on the scene I normally shoot in aperture priority mode.

that is not weird. It means that your left eye is the master eye. The dominant eye. When you want to use your right eye without closing your left, your left will still dominate.

Since in army shooting range, I always thought my master eye is the right one.. haha

i recently switched from looking through the viewfinder using left eye to right eye. now i use mostly right eye cos i can see both the viewfinder and the actual scene. i'll switch to left eye if i want to see only the viewfinder cos i can't close my left eye and keep my right eye open.

I use my right eye, and i am right handed. I think it is more of a "flow", right hand right eye.

For me, right hand, right eye. Also prefer to be able to keep both eyes open and left eye take in the whole scene while framing with right eye.

i'm right handed, right master eye. anything that has to do with aiming i use my right eye.. but i use my left eye to look thru the viewfinder
