kingston - so far never try to work at 5º C
I will freeze first and conk out.
digicam pics is not the priority worry then

at normal temp I expect it to be ok

yes kingston is OK for singapore temperature.
I am wondering probably if I want to buy kingston I will buy in china during winter time so immediately on the spot if not good can go to shop and exchange. No chance to test low temperature in singapore. :bsmilie:
Anyway, I take my camera when I travel, so I need something that cover wide temperature range.

Make sure you check the spelling.....not a "kingstun" memory card :sweatsm:

currently using kingston 266x 8GB CF & no issues so far

Kingston.....honestly whatever! as long as it serve the purpose and doesn't cost much.
other brands doesn't make ur pic nicer, right? so wat's the big fuss.

Guys, any comments on Kingston Elite Pro CF card 4GB ?
Selling at $359. ;p

Bad deal. The Kingston Ultimate II 266x(2x of Elite Pro) 4GB is retailing for $80 or so at SLS, particulary Best Bargain
You already can get a 32GB CF(forgot brand) for that stated amount.

I would rather carry 4 pieces of 1GB than 1 piece of 4GB. I do not like to put all my eggs in one basket. If the basket breaks, all eggs gone. In 4 baskets at least if one breaks still have 3.

Haha true, unfortunately i went for 4GB card since i wanted less hassle

PS: Yup, i use Kingston... since prior to my dSLR, my PnS was also using a Kingston Elite Pro SD and it gave me no problems at all
Haha, dunno why people prefer Sandisk, but i got one 1GB sandisk anyway which was thrown into my camera deal :bsmilie:

Dude, of cos is bad deal now....
The message was posted back in Aug 2005... and so was the pricing.... U must be too tired from your work....

I would vote for TRANSCEND. Never had any issues what so ever with these cards. Already have 3, 2 x 2GB & 1x8GB:cool:

Ah..a bad blunder my bad :embrass:
The date stamp is sometime hard to see and notice :bsmilie:

Kingston and Transcend. Kinda pointless paying amost 2x for a Sandisk that offers less than 2x performance increase.

I use both Kingston and Sandisk. I'm a price-sensitive consumer, so the cheapest card tends to get my attention.

Transcend for me.. :sweatsm:

Kingston.
SanDisk was more expensive (correct me if my info is not up to date.)

Still haven't encountered a need to use CF with high throughput.
I never needed to take continuous shoots.
An ordinary CF is enough for me, as long as its reliable.

I'm thinking to create a Mass Order (MO) for memory card after COMEX. Take a survey to understand market needs now. :)

You gonna grab all the cards at COMEX then sell them here? :bsmilie:

i have used sandisk only. they have not given me any reason so far to switch to another brand.

Pretty much same reason for me... cos when I got my dSLR, it came with a free Sandisk Ultra II card. After using for a long time, had no problems... besides I trust the brand more in terms of reliability and they give lifetime warranty. I feel very 'safe' using Sandisk... more than other cards... maybe it's just a psychological thing but this is what I feel about this brand... also read a lot of positive reviews on it.

Later I 'upgraded' to Extreme III and found it to be significantly faster than Ultra II so I've stuck to this ever since. My next card will be Sandisk Extreme III too... find no need for the more expensive Extreme IV, etc.

I have been using SanDisk Extreme III SDHC 6 for the last 8 months and i feel that it is faster then the Lexar Platinum II 60x especially when i'm transferring the pictures
from the SD card into my laptop.

would buy kingston higfh speed(dunno wad speed) and sandisk extreme

just got Lexar Professional UDMA 300x speed 8GB for $109 use with Lexar card reader
