Droolable, but sorry. I'm not going to see a thousand photos die instantly and I have to reshoot a thousand memories. :(

I don't mind paying the entire amount first... If got MO, then I want Lexar CF and SD (for D50). Price must be lower than what some pple in consumer corner offering, otherwise not worth the wait.

Thanks ur support! If more ppl willing to pay deposit for MO, I have more confidence to bargain with supplier. Wait next week I get my new camera then start MO.

Sandisk have served me well for more than I can remember.

Even the Professionals prefer to have many smaller capacity cards dan all in one... it's definitely much safer to do so...

I prefer one memory carry all picture coz lazy to change card. So far nvm heard any CF/SD defect (except micro-drive). Do you have any bad experience on any brand defect problem?

i can understand ur concern.. coz i ever did experience that 'laziness' b4 in some of my assignments.. but luckily it's not crucial moments..

Dat's y i'll only use a max of 2Gb card if i were to shoot events that doesn't have breaks in between.. Else i'll usually use my 512Mb or 1Gb card.. If there's a break in the event.. i'll change my card during there and then.. of course i'll have to monitor my shots as well.. If u're shooting wedding.. i would suggest to get a few smaller cards say 1Gb and a portable storage drive.. think it's a better combi..

Currently no experience of such.. but i pray hard i won't kena at all as well..

Using 1-2GB ScanDisk Extreme, 1-2GB LaxerWA and 2 -1GB Transcend, happy with all 4.:)

~WoW~
I can see Lexar and Sandisk have close market rate! Kingston fall far behind. Keep vote going on!

hmm... No more vote and suggestion? I decided to take up Sandisk for MO. The COMEX is coming soon, 1st~4th Sept.

If you get any price/model of Sandisk from COMEX, plz share the price/model here. I need the info as guide. Thank you in advance! :)

price of sandisk doesn't seem to drop as fast and as much compared to Lexar..

u wanna do Lexar MO instead? ;p

I will use only Lexar and Kingston. The new 2gb Kingston SD card is excellent in speed.

I think Lexar are cheaper comparing to Sandisk both almost works the same in terms of speed and warranty

Haha, I think Lexar MO in future but not together with Sandisk now. I can see Eastgear offer attractive price for Lexar (http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=148603)so no point to create another MO. But it is rare to see Sandisk MO or special price for us.

I start contact with memory supplier and hopefully can create MO just after COMEX (need COMEX price to bargain). :)

KINGSTON, have some compatibilty issues with Nikon cameras. I have a friend who is using on a D2X which shoot only RAW. Out of 10 times, there is a 1-2 times some images are corrupted.

LEXAR price is about $650-680 for a 4GB

KINGSTON only $355...? Half the price? No way man.......Go with Lexar if you have the $$$$ for it.

Anyway, if you are not shooting on RAW mode with a D2X, then a 2 X 2GB cards is a safer option to go.

will u have a receipt for us if we buy from u?

do agree with Pro Image.. but guess it's not only abt the $$ issue, reliability oso comes into play.. cheaper cost as it may be for other brands but if any prob does occur to the card while u're on assignment.. how are u gonna answer to ur client? :dunno:

Kingston has been quite good with its products.. however u'll still need to find a card dat's suitable for u usage.. Do ur homework first.. Shooting in many yet smaller capacity cards (wrt to the cam u use) will certainly be a safer method..

Yes, there is receipt given. Warranty is same as Sandisk policy. Waiting for COMEX, after buy my camera then MO! ;)

I would rather carry 4 pieces of 1GB than 1 piece of 4GB. I do not like to put all my eggs in one basket. If the basket breaks, all eggs gone. In 4 baskets at least if one breaks still have 3.

Or get a camera body with 2 card slots

Well, any CF/SD, irregardless of brands, can give u corrupted image or hang your camera if the card got bad sector

Personally, I have the following problems before

a Sandisk Ultra II 2GB that got bad sector and hang the camera

a Lexar 80x 2GB with corrupted image and corrupted FAT (a bit different from the infamous image missing problem)

a Kingston SD that cannot be recognised

a Twinmos CF that can be recognised but cannot write anything on it.

i go for kingston elitepro and sandisk ultraII
