If you mass order from US I think you should get cards that are not readily available here like Lexar.

For Transcend perhaps if the quantity is big enough can approach Memory World or some similar shop locally?

Or we could do a Mission Impossible raid on Shriro House and liberate the leftover unclaimed 256mb Lexars ;) .

Lexar's 40X with WA is only available for 256Mb and 128Mb

512Mb and 1GB, you will have to stick to 32x WA.

The 512 MB ones are out long time ago. As for the 1GB cards, I had expected that by the time the MO is ready to go, Lexar would have released it... ;) :bsmilie:

wah ... no one interested in my MO TRANSCEND 1 GB meh ?

i will see what i can do...maybe bring in LEXAR

Have been using the 2 Kingston 1G CF with my 2 Camera so far seen good in speed and price.Bought at S$395.00w/GST. in Singapore

I second Lexar. The reason is you can get Transcend ones easily though your price is significantly cheaper (about $80?).

1Ds, where do you get your kingston? i am interested.

I'm keen to get either the Lexar 40X 512MB CF or the Lexar 1GB 32X CF. I'm still considering your MO of the transcend 1GB. Since I'm getting the D100 soon, I'm wondering if the WA of the Lexars really make much of a diff. If not, I might just go with your MO Kindred.

Although 30X(Transcend) vs 32X(Lexar) is practically negligible, not to mention cheaper for the Xcend, the WA of the Lexars might play a large part in getting faster write times. Any D100 users here to verify this?

There IS a diff between Lexar and Transcend in terms of speed, considering that the cards don't always live up to the advertised speeds.

The site doesn't review 1gb Transcend but the results should be similar.

Lexar Media 1GB 32X Write Acceleration
JPEG Fine - 1758K/sec
RAW NEF - 2033K/sec

Transcend 512MB (30X label on packaging)
JPEG Fine - 1448K/sec
RAW NEF - 1720K/sec

Which CF u using MoriMori?

Going to Raffles City tomolo?

Nah, was there today. Gotta work tomorrow so giving a miss.

Using Transcend 512 (30x) and Lexar 256 (24x). Shot RAW for the first time today. You won't have any problems using the transcend on Jpeg fine, but in RAW it takes quite a while to write from buffer to card, missed quite a few shots that way. One guy told me he rations his shots so you don't run out of buffer and space.

Didn't try RAW with Lexar but based on the link i'd say it should be faster.

Yeah, spoke to u in BK after the 7pm shot, the guy fiddling with the laptop....

Thxs 4 the info... will try to find a lexar card to do a test with the transcend.

hmm...

i heard from some fellow clubsnappers that the cards in my MO are expensive....maybe i will try to call them later...

ok ok...successfully got the best price from the suppliers...

So the NEW price will be $392 for 1 GB TRANSCEND 30x

But minimum order will be changed to 50 pcs...instead of 20 pcs

I see the general notion used to describe how fast a CompactFlash device is 20x, 32x, etc.

Any idea what say 20x means in actual data transfer? 20MB/Sec? Thanks.
