Hi, Hasselblad users,

I have two spoiled A12 film backs, the serial number tells they are old.
probably 1970's product. I guess some bearing inside it jam, they just don't work any more.

Besides Shriro/Hasselblad S'pore, any workshop here provide repairing sevice?
how much they charge for film back repairing?

thanks very much for your input.

regards

Can try TCW - The Camera Workshop at peninsular
not that i ever had hassy equip b4
but i hear good things about them ...

i know this ex hasslebald repair technician.
operate in this shop at grandlink square, by gullimard rd.

he is very good

thanks for reply. will try them both.

Zekia, what's the name of the shop in Grandlink?

thanks
James

most repair shops can handle
mechanical product no problem
that's the beauty of buying hassy.
:)

if digital SLR, sorry. usually only agent hold spare circuit board modules.
your hassy mag is 30 years old, no problem to repair lah.
from this, you can know the value of buying something like hassy.
it holds its value for 50, 60 years? or more ?

don't try to repair a 30 year old digital SLR 30 years later !!! :bsmilie:

by then even karang guni man does not want!!!
already they reject VCRs. say VCR worthless.

if absolutely no one can handle repair --- what! are you kidding ?
Almost ALL the PN plaza/adelphi/pn shopping complex repair shops CAN repair it.

try the last resort - philip tay in grandlink square (thanks to Zekai) who used to be Shriro chief technician and was officially trained in Sweden at Hassy HQ.
Got certificate to prove it.
Is that good enough for you ?

phillip tay is the one i am recommending, his shop is now in grandlink square. called DE CAMERA.

thank you, Zekai for his latest location :)

got phone number and unit number ?

He took 1 year plus to repair my Sinar roll film holder, but still cannot make it work properly, end up my vario format roll film holder parts missing, have to throw away. I’m still mad about this.

Btw, don't ask me to tell you the whole story, you can ask him ever repair a Sinar roll film holder before or not?

should have just bought parts for the sinar from prime
and DIY

Hi, all, interesting input.

Will try Mr Tay first since he was trained by Hassy Sweden.

To catchlight, I too use Sinar camera and I have a spoiled Viro
Zoom film holder too. Because of a plastics parts (something like
Conveyor belt inside the holder aged, become crispy and broken).
Asked Sinar in Swiss but answer was they have stopped repairing
Sinar camera accessories. I am headache of searching sinar parts.

Have you kept that broken viro holder?

Sinar told you they don't repair Sinar accessories?
They are freaking mad.
They expect their users, customers and supporters to buy a brand new accessory every time their current one malfunctions?
Lucky I never tried LF and Sinar. Too expensive anyway.
But Sinar is not being fair to their customers.

my friend's brother works for Sinar. Sinar fired 63 staff by end of 2004 including the boss's son. now left 30 people.

So, are they going to selll their old stock repair parts?? he!he!.....I also have the Vario zoom holder (type 1) but have not used it yet.......need to check the rubber now you mentioned yours has problems.........hmmmm

PP, sori to hijack yr thread.

Anyone knows who can clean fungus in Viewfinder of mechanical SLR?

Thanks.

it's alright, photo-file. I think send your fungus SLR to "Camera workshop"
at Peninsular is better (cheaper) way, cost about S$30 - 50 for cleaning only.

Hongsien, can you find anyone in HKG repair Sinar accessories?
I forgot to ask my friend in Sinar if they still have old accessories spare parts for sale. thanks for you remind me. I will ask him.

A note of thanks for all the contributors to this thread. Philip got my Hasselblad working again, which gave me the opportunity to take some memorable photos over the weekend.

Once again, thank you...

hey...was he the ex-tech from Shriro & his old office is at city plaza??

yes, Mr. Philip Tay used to have a shop in City plaza and months ago moved
to Grandlink Saquare.

a nice man, very experienced in repairing Hassy & Nikon. I believe he repairs all kinds of cameras.

he is going to Shanghai, China in a couple of days and only back to S'pore by end of July.
