Prices in Hong Kong is no longer attractive as I found out last week when I was there. Price savings only about S$100 when I checked for Gitzo 1530 with 1278 ballhead and likewise for the 1.4/2.0 ExII and much better to get locally to enjoy local warranty.
Camera shops checked out are Citicall, Man Shing,Tin Cheung and Wing Shing.
If you are looking at lenses, I think is still worth it to get it from HK since there is no difference in warranty if you ensure you are buying the ones that have International warranty in HK. Depending on the lenses, you can get around 20% savings in HK.
