Any idea where in SEA will be a good spot to capture this meteor shower?

Maybe you can check with the Singapore Science Centre? ;)

Why not drop a post in Singastro.org? You'll defnitely find like-minded pple there.

Thanks for the headsup. Didn't know of this forum.

Just signed up but looks like I need admin approval. Snooped around in the mean time and the information on Geminids seem to be dated at least 3years back. :(

You can also sign up for Sky and Telescope newsletter. Lots of info there. And also Astronomy.com

Noted. But really nobody on Clubsnap who is interested in photographing Geminids?

:bsmilie:

Very strange of you to ask! I already posted a reply there "13 hours ago".

Seriously, what can we see from Science Centre??

13 hrs ago? I mean there was a post that's 10 hrs ago in there. Did you see that post by android17?

How do you plan to shoot it? I caught the Perseids meteor shower a couple of months ago and it was beautiful but the problem was that due to the light pollution i could only catch like 3 bright ones in an hour and they appear in multiple directions and each only last for 2 seconds at most. It is hard to predict where it will appear from and which direction it is heading. But probably Geminids will be better ;) good luck

Yes I did. I don't think we'll be seeing much of it in Singapore.

I need to find the right place before I camp for Geminids. Will be my first time trying to capture a meteor shower.

Those who are keen can even drive up to Desaru. Just find a nice spot along the beach.
