Parkview Square has this charm and granduer that can't be found elsewhere.

Looks like something out of Las Vegas or New York.

It's opposite Raffles Hospital at North Bridge Road

It was designed by Las Vegas casino designers

I always think that Jurong Fishery Port or Pasir Panjang Wholesale Market will be a nice place for photography at night (in fact is early morning 3-4 am?). A lot of activities but not sure whether photography is allowed?:dunno:

Understand there is also another fishery port at Senoko if you are staying at Woodlands. Perhaps you will like to check it out!

I was told by the securities not to take any pictures during my last trip but in the end I took some in the DARK..

I am following this thread as recently, I start to go photo shooting after work.

Not sure if this is relevant but a good practise might be on the street itself (eg orchard rd). The people are always changing the expression is timeless... but its damn tough to do a good shoot. Most ppl are wary when they see that I tried to shoot them. With a big Zoom lens (I use a 17-55 2.8), basically everybody is looking at me when I point the cam, thus I am using the 35mm prime to do the street sometimes.

The question of 'where' to shoot might indicate a lack of inspiration. I also feel it here in Singapore... but let us just 'move our butts' and go shooting... and with that, we could discover more about ourselves and get an indication of where we like to shoot.

Cheers.

Better start shooting while we can, if not gov will start to stop us from shooting openly or have to get license from police statation before you can shoot. ;)

I find it hard to shoot candid with anything less than a 70mm. big zooms are handy but 17-55 is enough for you? for a 17-40 I had to practically stand next to the person if i want to fill the frame, dont see how 55mm will be a lot better.

with the 35mm prime how close do you usually approach your target?

how bout lil india or arab st at night?
anyone interested?;p

Hmm... I have been wondering for a while, is it possible for us to shoot at the stars in the night sky? With a telephoto lens maybe?

I know its difficult to see stars in the middle of the city light. Which bring us the security issue if one is trying to go to a darker area. I just wondering if it is possible.

I guess one of the side effects of working nite shift is being insomnia during off-nites as well. I suffer from the same problem too sometimes. Give me a buzz or sms me if you happen to be insomnia on Monday,Tuesday & Weds nites....;) I might just happen to be insomnia as well....

No problem...it kinda sucks when you wake up at night and nothing to do becos everything's closed and everybody's asleep.

Sometimes i go shooting alone too.....just went around chinatown recently shooting from 12mn to next morning.....it's actually rather nice wandering around and shooting late at night........so cooling and so peaceful......
