Where to sell books 2nd hand?

My wife and I just gathered a big bag of old paperback novels that we want to get rid of. We brought them to Sunny Bookstore in Far East Plaza, only to find that they don't take in 2nd hand books anymore.

Anyone can recommend good places to sell off old books 2nd hand? I know there's a shop in Holland V, but just a little worried it'll be a repeat of Sunny Bookstore when bring a whole bag of books there.

Of course lah...it is a commercial business. Why buy something that can't be sold off later. heheh...

If I remember correctly, for english novels, the Bras Basah now only got 1 shop on the 3rd or 4th floor that buys in second hand english novels, at 70cents per book, u got to figure out whether it is worth to bring there and sell at this price, or just donate to yr nearby library.

The libraries are having a collection drive for english novels, might as well... i think its for the bookcrossing movement

hmmm if the 2nd hand bookstores are offering next to nothing for the books,
consider donating them to charity?

hahaha, 2nd hand prices to bookstores is really not worth it.
Donating to charity might better, i think they will at least come to your house to collect them

and you will be doing a good deed
