haha. i m interested lehh. gng to redang in May.
would like to get a camera to take some pictures while snorkelling.

although i feel like renting my equipment(though its a point and shoot but i am a student so YES IT COSTS A BOMB TO ME :( ) so that it isnt really under utilised, anyone suggests how i can protect myself from bad users?:nono:

well i have a D80 setup to rent if u are interested.

If renting out privately, better spell out the terms clearly and agreeable to both. Taking equipment underwater always post the risk of flooding and the high possibility of scratches.

If renting from shops, usually have to pay for the full damages.

if u have lx3, i can rent u mt 10bar Case.. small and good. =) pm me

wat kind are u looking for?? if u are looking for DSLR i have a D80 setup with 90mm macro lens and ultra wide 11-16mm f2.8 lens set to rent. pm me if interested.

Just curious, for private rental, if camera is damaged due to flooding and if the user refuses to pay for damages, is there anything the owner can do (esp if there's no black and white)?

hi for me i will draft out a contract and after that i will send the housing to pressure test to prove that the housing is ok and get the guy who is renting my housing to sign and get a witness to verify. And i will advise the guy to get travel insurance so if my housing and camera is flooded or wat the insurance will return me a next set. so its pretty safe

Drafting a contract is one thing and enforcing it is another matter. If the person refuses to pay, your only option is civil litigation. Are you prepared to go to the court?;)

Which local insurance provides cover for underwater equipment? Full cover somemore?

Anybody has a casing for the S95 that I can rent? I have the cam so I only want the casing. Will be used for snorkelling only.

Looking at renting during the period: Mar 12 - 20 (going to Coron, Palawan from 16-19 Mar).

PM me if you have one to rent out. Thanks.

:Later,

Ok people… if you have a setup and is willing to Rent/Lent… please PM the interested party.

Do not… repeat, do not list what camera you have to 'rent'. And do not try to sell your old setup here. :nono:

This thread will be kept open so that those interested in renting, could let other readers knows. ;)

might be bit of a long shot... anyone got a housing for a canon 450d? and a strobe too.
