where to get VF-2 (silver colour) in singapore?

my colleague heading to japan at the end of the month. i am heading over in sept.
i dun mind doing a MO if I know the price.
based on the 24,000 yen and 5% discount mentioned by dlens, it's about $360 base on current exchange rates on xe.com
i tried checking out the price in hong kong 2 weeks ago when i was there... they all quoted S$450!!!
i definitely need the VF since i am using C lens and also like taking pics in the outdoors during the day... i need it since i cannot focus using the LCD...

Just to clarify. The price at Yodobashi was Yen25,200 before the 5% tax discount. 24,000 was the final price (They used this computation, Yen25,200/1.05=24000).

hmmm, then the price isn't really cheap at this shop that you are referring... a quick check on yahoo auctions jp, shows that it is about $320 - $350 for a new piece in japan... and i suspect it shd be cheaper for the locals. (drawing from my experience with fishing tackles bought in japan - i hope it's similar. LoL)

Yodobashi is like Best Denki, a large chain store. Prices are not going to be that competitive there.

so in short, is there silver VF2 in sg nw?

no, or damn rare.

Anyone can point me to where I can get a normal black vf-2 here cheap? And roughly what's the price. Thx.

Hi, you should be able to get it at $330 at SLR Revolution at Funan

Hello,

I'm actually going to HK in a couple of weeks, and then Shanghai. I was intending to get an EP2 Silver + Lumix 20mm lens in Hong Kong as my impression was that it'd be cheaper there, but apparently that may not be entirely true...

Any advice on where would be cheaper ? Between sg, hk and shanghai..

SG no sliver E-P2. Probably you get it from HK or Shanghai, but price may be a little more ex there cause sliver set release only in Japan.

Sorry guys,I've checked with Olympus and there isn't any silver EVF in Singapore, so you guys will have to order from overseas, the silver E-P2 is in stock though apparently

Where is the cheapest place to pick up one? I need a black unit.

How much is one in SG now? Market price wise. I only know that is about mid 300s

went to MS Color today, and while they did not have the silver EP2 in store, but they said they can place an order if I wanted it...

hw much did they quote u for it?

SGD1540 for black version + VF2 + either 1 of the kit lens.

I asked if they have silver and they said can 'order'. Didn't say if silver was different price, so assume is the same.

And then I went by Harvey Norman @ North Point, and the uncle quoted me 1550 + extra original battery.

if the North Point HN can give you the same package with the original battery, take it. Battery itself costs quite a bit and you will need it if you are using the VF2.

Just to post an update, MS Color at AMK central do have the EP2 Silver with pancake lens kit at the shop. I was just there and had a look at it. Also prices were adjusted DOWN slightly over the weekend.

anyone bought a VF-2 recently?

is the average price still $330? (RRP is $398)

thanks!

Do you mean using the VF2 will consume more power compared to using the LCD?

correct, you will find that the battery will not last as long if you are using the VF-2
