I have been using Timbuk2 messengers for years and recently tried their backpack last year, really impressed by their build quality and innovative functions. Quite a nice surprise to know that they have now a camera bag named Snoop Camera Bag. Anyone has any ideas where i could get one of these at a local retail shop? Their online website seemed to be out of stock at the moment. And i prefer to see the actual bag before deciding. (Padding looks abit thin though)

Tell me what u guys think or any other suggestions for other bags, looking for something not too large, light able to carry one flash unit, d60, 50 f1.4 and 35 f1.8. Timbuk2 has a tripod holder too so prob i would like to have that. Budget about 200 odd?

IMO some padding should be sufficient already
dont worry the camera and lens isnt so toufu i dropped my d60 once before and its still working well :)

as for where to buy it i really cant help you mayb look at timbuk2 local distributor?
dun bother looking at local camera shops they don't normally carry these...they carry those bags that are really made to be camera bags

if you ask me to suggest other bags i'll suggest kata (the 123-go or 3n1 series)
i've recently looked at kata...they look ugly but when i see people carry it looks quite nice
but if you are buying their bag you need to purchase a tripod holder seperately (not sure of how to get that though i'll like to know too :))

most importantly make sure its comfortable on your back
hope this helps! :)

Hmm.. still using my lowepro so far but looking for something that look trendy and fit other things like laptop (medium Timbuk2) or when the inserts are removed completely. Seen the Kata-s before, haha, agree that design is nothing much but certainly look functionally competent. Not to the ugly level definitely, maybe juz abit plain IMHO. The Crumpler Million Dollar homes are an option but getting common nowadays, no longer having 'not camera bag' look.

Thanks ;) Will try look for the Timbuk2, the integrated tripod carrier, design, fully removable camera inserts and laptop compartment without looking too bulky is drawing me towards it :embrass:

Agree, d60 no tofu.. Haha, mine has been through quite some 'events' with me.
Anyone who have their camera bags to recommend or any place that might have extensive Timbuk2 bags, let me noe, cheers.

I'm looking for some timbuk2s too . There is a good selection at Queensway , Bonkerslink is the shop . ground level .

Heard there is one shop in beach road too . Should have a few of the range but not all .

I don't think the Snoop bag is out yet , and there is supposed to be a bigger version next year .

Thanks very much, i went to bonkerslink before but i find that their prices not that competitive.. :embrass:

Beach road? Hmm. will go search it out. I feel that since exchange rate for USD is quite low now, i might just buy it online. Wait for the Snoop to be out and exchange rate to get more attractive (optimistic, haha) One thing i don't like about the online store is that i see some colors in S'pore that are readily available sometimes, but not shown online.

Anyway, thanks for your help, the search goes.. Cheers..

yeah i bought my extra credit online ! waiting for it to come !
