I just got my EM-5 with 12-50 kit lens from Penang at RM3770 without memory card. That's about S$1520.
At the same breath, i also got the 45mm F1.8 from the same shop at RM950, which is about S$385.
I dont think i can get this price anywhere in Singapore, Hong Kong, or US.
But dont buy Panasonic camera or lens in Malaysia,... they are much more expensive than Singapore. the PL 25mm f1.4 Summilux i was quoted RM2900 (S$1170)
Just letting you guys know in case you have any intention of buying Olympus stuff ... it's much cheaper across the causeway.

Which part of Penang did u buy your EM-5 from? Its truly a good deal. Any idea if we can get this price in JB as well?

I know from Robin Wong, in KL the price is about RM3800 in general. So I think price in JB can't be that far off. Silver is easy to get as I understand majority of their sale are for black.

Well camera is still considered as luxurious imported stuff thus the tax were high. I just hope Olympus manufacture the OM-D in ASEAN region, in order to get lower tax, like car or motorcycle that manufactured in here. Olympus do have camera factory in Indonesia but they only manufacture the P&S. Indonesian prefer to shop lens anywhere as long as the price reasonable (sometimes it's encourage by local shop, since some of the shops get the supply from overseas) but for the body they prefer to shop locally.

Btw, from the promotion brochure, the RRP in Malaysia is RM4499 with 12-50 kit lens and RM3599 for body only

That is list price.... i think in KL and up North, nobody pay more than RM3900 for EM5.
I think body-only is hard to find, need to ask those shops that's willing to break up the set(some might do it if they have potential buyer for the kit lens)
Try Alan Photo at Sim Lim for Lecia 25mm f1.4. I checked with them last Sat and they have stock.
