That price seem about right when I check some shops.

Anyone know how much mZ 14-150 cost now in SG? I want to pair it with my OM-D,
and if the price is good I plan to have it while visiting SG by the end of this month.
Any info would be appreciated

Should be around S$810 to S$850.

If u dont mind the little extra hassle, u can save some $$$ by buying the lens from US (Amazon) or Cameta Camera. They have the refurbished (demo) units for cheap at only US$379.95. Alternatively, u can get the EPL1 + 14-150 lens kit combo for USD499.95!

Thanks for the info, there's not much difference in price between what my local store offered and SG ESRP.

Tough tempting is too much troubled to importing electronic (considering lens labeled as electronic device)
from US to my place, I can only be sure with books and movie bought from amazon. Perhaps if there's a chance
to go to US again I will think about it. Beside that I already had EPL-1 what will I do with another EPL-1? It's too
hard to resell it again.

It's look like I will visit local store instead.

Yes, the cheapest new 14-150 I could get here is about Rp 6,2 mil,
The SG is a bit cheaper. Amazon only shipping limited electronic item.

That figures. I've got some friends in Indonesia and i cant even help them ship anything over there. Cant trust the customs/mail service over there. Even christmas cards go missing!

Yup. International worldwide warranty.

Ah, just to highlight this. Been working in KL after some years in Singapore.
The stores here now do not recognise international warranty for Olympus, as I had one camera from Singapore...sorry, they say, no international warranty, despite what the warranty card says.

You mean the service centre at Olympus Malaysia does not recognise the international worldwode warranty status of Four-Thirds and m43 cameras?

If I buy a silver body with the 12-50 kit lens, does the lens also come in matching silver or black?

kit comes with black lens. silver lenses are sold separately.

All Olympus camera and lens have international warranty regardless where you buy the said camera, however not all Olympus service centre
were worldwide repair warranty appointed member. You can repair your lens and camera in every Olympus service centre regardless their
worldwide repair warranty appointed member or not, but they will charge you more for repair fee if your camera and lens doesn't have local
warranty. If you don't want charged more you should bring your camera and lens to Olympus worldwide repair warranty appointed member.

Check the link for Olympus service and repair centre, Malaysia listed as Worldwide repair warranty appointed member...

The mail service is getting better. Last month I bought a book from amazon, it arrive quickly without hassle to my adress in a week. Last year I ordered a voltage adapter from Hong Kong also arrive within a week without hassle. The restriction of electronic goods came from Amazon it self, they restrict electronic stuff that can be ordered to several country. Singapore is not restricted because Singapore Mail service have virtual US address that can be used for forwarding stuff that you bought in US to Singapore. CMIIW.

The problem with importing stuff to Indonesia is lie in the unclear custom rules that stated any imported legal stuff cost more than US$ 50 (include shipping cost) will be charged with custom tax. It should be 30% of the excess value, but in reality with so many stuff declared under the real value the custom will not trust you and demand you to come to the post office to bargain for the custom tax as they don't have and listed every stuff tariff. There lies the bribing chance if the officer and the stuff owner were dishonest person. Worst a lot of International shipping and package company, avoiding the complaint from the owner if their stuff being held for inspection in custom add expensive custom clearance and handling fee. Sometimes it's not in the interest of the owner because if the company reporting the stuff the custom will share the fee together.
