There are 3 set ups available.

1. Body with single lens kit
2. Body with dual lens kit
3. Body only

I thought Olympus is selling a kit with the 14-54mm alone too?

Is it?

Could be my mistake...

I was mainly interested in the 12-50mm kit and body-only box so did not notice much of others..

At least they do in the US and Germany, the Singaporean Olympus page isn't very clear on the sets they sell here.

Which lens are in the dual lens kit?

Which lens are in the dual lens kit?

14-42mm + 40-150mm

Btw did someone buy one of the OM-D kits from Courts? Do they offer any special goodies?

This camera is as rare as hen's teeth, at the moment.

Only Cathay Photo, black, with the two kit lenses (14-42mm, 50-150mm) going for $1850.
Didn't ask about extras.
MSColor, TK Foto and SLR Revolution don't have it in stock.

Some Courts stores also have limited stock, I think around $1900.

12mm is wider than dual lens kit of 14mm. The wider the better for interior & landscapes.

Dual lens kit go from 14 mm to 150 mm with the equivalent of 28mm to 300mm (35mm speak).

12 - 50 mm gives you 24 to 100mm.

If I have to pick only one, I'd go for the 12-50 mm. Reason being the 12 mm will help with landscape shots and with the added bonus of doing macro. Say you see a nice flower and you want to do close up, the 12-50mm will let you do that beautifully.

However, to take interior shots, the 12-50 mm kit lens is on the slow side, especially with poor light (same for the dual lens kit anyway).

FYI for those travelling to HK, u can get the OM-D with the 12-50mm kit lens at HK AIRPORT (best deal in HK) for only HKD10,690, ready stock for both black and silver. Certainly very tempting!

Thanks for the info... what about accessories like EP-11, FL-600R, HLD-6 and BLN-1? Available at the airport also? Specific shop name?

Other shops in HK are offering similar prices too

Olympus OM-D E-M5 - DSLR 數碼單鏡反光相機 - 隨身數碼 - 香港格價網 Price.com.hk

Dont just rely on info from the site. I've been to MANY camera shops in HK. Yes, there are those that are able to offer a similar price but they have no stock. U'll have to place an order and wait. There are also those that tells u there's no silver body for now. The retail shop in the airport has IMMEDIATE stock for both colours, saving u all the trouble scouting around.

I'm afraid i did not check the accessories for the OMD. Did not visit the shops specifically for this camera. I just enquired since i was there.

To do interior shots proper, you should be using a tripod to begin with and with lens stopped down for adequate depth of field. Speed of lens is secondary.
