Where to get potassium permanganate?

Hi, I found some links about making B&W slides and want to have a try. The process requires some chemicals, such as potassium permanganate (KMnO4), etc.. Anybody knows where to get these stuffs?

You can buy potassium permanganate from many pharmacies eg Guardian in Singapore. It is sold in crystal form to make into washes for skin problems.

Hi, thanks for your help! But I still want to find a retail shop of chemicals, since some other stuffs are also included in the process, such as Sulfur Acid (H2SO4) and Sodium Bisulfate (NaHSO4).

You can try Sino Chemicals in Jurong. I used to buy chemicals from them when I was a Sec. student for my home chemistry hobby many, many years ago. They may not sell to anyone without a Poison Licence now though.

Sulfuric acid ... If you do not have a poison licence, you prob have a better chance of getting it from a car battery shop.

for other chems ..can try Dickson Chemicals
very nice people there, explain that you are amatuer darkroom worker
they may sell you in small quantities.

check out Scientic Apparatus located at Jln Rajah. The last time i bought raw chemicals for Cynotype Print was like 10 yrs ago.
