thatz if the tarrifs remain unchanged. but thats rather economical. would this apply to all brands & any size?

Mmmms.. Not any brand any size. Specifically, digicabi 30L version. It uses 5W. Very little power used. Can't remember the specific amount i calculated though.

i bought this from ms color too~~ think abt $23..

Is there sponge on the sides and strap?
coz the box says optional.
if there is, can get them from ms color?

I got it last week. Nope, the optional items are not included. Also bought extra bottle of Silica Gel; $4. Sprinkle abit inside the box. My readings with the built-in hygrometer are between 60-70% humidity; dunno accurate or not.

huh? you sprinkled the silica gel in the box? isn't there a compartment at the top (this curved white box thing) attached to the inside lid which is used to hold the silica gel?

If spend abt $120 for dry cabinet and a $25 for dry box... I dunno how long it can last for a bottle of gel but I bought it at $3.50 (I assume it can last for 1yr and some might wan to re-use by re-heating in the microwave?). As 1 of u said it uses $5 of electricity per year... in long run, probably 5-years since cabinet warranty for 5yrs only (am I rite?)...

Cost after 5years:
Dry cabinet: $120 + $5*5 = $145, U spend 145/5 = $29.00/yr
Dry box: $25 + $3.50*5 = $42.50, U spend 42.50/5 = $8.50/yr

If people try re-heating it, probably nid 1 bottle throughout the 5yrs? I tried re-heating but it seems to hv no effect. (Anybody can teach me on this? :dunno:)

But the con of using dry box is the nid to change of silica gel and the hydrometer might not be as accurate as cabinet. And definitely cabinet looks better... hahaha

dry box is smaller than cabinet too. hur hur. stick your silica gel into the microwave oven in a container (uncovered). on meadium heat for about a minute, then take it out and leave it to cool for a while (a crap load of water will condense in the container). then throw it in for another half minute before taking it out to cool. and you're done. zzz thats how i do it. anyone with a better way? its bloody troublesome.

I sprinkle as an added extra measure. Abit only. Suggestion by the MS shop.
