Any idea where I can get a battery that works with the Electro GSN?
Don't think they make the original battery for it anymore..

cheers.. ;)

4 x LR44 batteries should do the trick

ooh that's it? cool I'll go find some later at ntuc..
thought might need some modification to be made or a special batt adapter..

Some folks mention that you might need some foil between each double stack of LR44 to improve the connectivity.

You can try the 4 X LR44 method but its not always reliable, a better way is to visit P&G adelphi. The guy sells them for $13. Can last quite awhile, hths!

Ernest, I think I still have the adapter to hold 4 LR44 batts. will look for it later tonight.

btw u can use the single 6V 28A battery instead of 4 LR44. That 28A battery I saw it quite often at some DIY store

tks guys for the help.. :D

derrick, appreciate it.. let me know if you do find it.. otherwise, i'll prob try to find the 6V 28A batt, or drop by P&G tmr..

cheers.

bro, you dont need 4xLR44

ruby got this battery called 4LR44, which is actually a stack of 4xLR44 combined.

Another way would be to use I think its CR123 or CR2 (cant remember which one)with one LR44.

for the 4xLR44 method, get a piece of cupboard thin ones, wrap a thick layer around the batteries so that they sit snugly in the battery compartment. Be warned this method sometimes the battery cannot makan on the contacts nicely.

There is a shop at sim lim square, Unicell located at the 2nd floor sells the PX32 or PX28 (for those with the adaptor).

tks bro, but I ended up getting the 4LR44 batt + 2 x LR44 from ruby, as recommended by the uncle there..

everything seems to be working so far, and running a roll through it now..

dunno if the extra voltage would adversely affect the metering, or end up frying the circuits..

Ernest, why not try making a short copper spring + 4LR44 batt. I do that with all my Yashica RFs, cheap and proven to work effectively. Though an adapter would be good too. I would not risk over powering the RF. I did it once, but the MG-1 seems to register a wrong metering.

Hmmmm this I really not too sure... I read quite a couple of Yashica fansites and blogs... none mentioned about putting 6 batteries in it...

The adapter I have is this:

works like a charm. too bad my yashica has POD

Sorrie to dig out an old thread... But, is the PX32 battery still available anywhere locally?

Sim Lim Tower?

Hello! You may like to try this.
Buy 1pc 4xLR44($7, I think) from Ruby and then put about 15-25pcs of 5cents or 1 cent coins. It will work.

Anyone have another idea where to get 476A batteries? I brought my yashica gsn to the camera hospital for repairs and changed the battery compartment to fit that battery.
