My favourite one is at Carlton Hotel. Its called Wah Lok.

 ... erh had my dim sum there.. nearly died when it sucked dry my wah-lok ...

For Kopitiam prices, head for this 126 (cantonese) at Geylang. it's 24 hrs. Serves the very basics of Tim Sum and some side dishes. Ambience not so good as seating area is limited and cramp. Food is not bad. 2 person about 20-30 bucks.

Oh ok... But the thread starter, photobum, was looking at Tim-Sum for 4 ppl for $30-50.

Actually, I find the tim sum at Neptune Restaurant quite good but a bit pricey. Go before they close down for re-development. :)

Food's quite alrite but I doubt ya wanna bring foreign guest to makan and squeeze along the shoppin ctr corridors laid out wif tiny tables wif many students with Gundams.:sweatsm:

Personally I do enjoy Orchard or Shenton way Tong Lok dim sum, check it out as they always have promotions going on.

I don't mind squeezing along a shopping mall corridors as long as the food is good, and cheap.... of course. In fact, the last time I visited Hong Kong, some of the best Tim Sum restaurants are very small shop with make-shift tables and chairs.

I don't mind Gundam. Who knows... maybe my Ah Neh visitors love Gundam.;)

Tung Lok is way too expensive. It will burn a hole in my pocket instantly.

Hmm... wonder if it's the same one that I frequent. I would recommend the tim sum stall at the coffeeshop where Ponggol Nasi Lemak is located (N1° 21.71, E103° 53.19). It's not too far away from Kovan MRT too. Over there, you'll also get to order the AMK bak chor mee, Nasi Lemak (only in the evenings) and of course, tim sum. The century egg porridge is cheap and good, and so's the tim sum. After that, you can walk across the street and get a bowl of smooth bean curd... ok, i apologise for digressing.

:embrass: tho kinda ex, the chinese restaurant at carlton hotel is great..so is ming jiang at GWP hotel or east ocean;)
