Yea, i am quite sure I saw in his shop in Funan, maybe u want to PM photosmart?
basically those u get from camera can rust, those u get for diving wont rust....

Is there any MAJOR difference between branded and non-branded red-filters? I know people will say about the lens quality difference, but is there any thing to back it up? Just interested to know cos the price difference is really quite a bit and I really wouldnt mind saving some money ;)

*slap lovells19* Go buy/sell column la :p

As for the different, I know that the normal one do rust extremely fast if not properly maintain which is really very laychay, and they seems to get permanently stain easily too.

Maybe the rest would comment on the expensive and cheap UW lens part, photosmart?

*slap lovells19 again* :p

sorry i asking a stu Question, as i'm a color "blind"

what is the use of color filter?

hahahaha

ah yeah i saw then i thought about it mah, i never use it at all leh.

the ones i bought HOYA did not rust after the dives, and the filter is glass not plastic.

like all glass, after dive during the surface interval, its best to flush the lens, and dry it with a cloth, and not let the sea water dry on it. will leave a stain which is quite hard to remove.

as for rusting, not sure about other brands, have no problem with my Hoya and Inon lens.

*slap harder! slap harder!* :D

to compensate the red lost due to the water medium.
