Where to buy pre cut mats?

Maybe i just don't know where to look, but i seriously do not know where to find mats like these to showcase my work

Art friend has some, but they only have ugly yellowish colors, and come in small sizes.

I've tried asking some framers but have been quoted exorbitant prices for a single mat. An A3 size mat would cost me 20 sing!!!

Any advice would be appreciated

the mounting board is about $10 a piece, one piece can cut only two pieces of A3, the matte cutting machine is $700 to thousand over, that does not including labor cost, blades and material wastage.

if you think that is very expensive to order cut matte from them, why don't buy some mounting board from Art friends @ Bras Basah Complex, get NT cutter and DIY?

But you see, i'm a photographer, not a mat cutter or frame maker. I sell prints. I'm don't want to be spending hours cutting mats for my pictures.

All that hard labour should be done by the framers or suppliers. Why is it that such mats can be bought freely and easily in other countries, while it is impossible to find in Singapore?

It certainly is a really simple job for a framer who has the right equipment. Why should they be charging 20 dollars a mat when websites like the one i posted are selling it the same stuff for 3 dollars.


Do all photographers DIY their own mats in Singapore?
