Hi! any one know where i can get polaroid spectra film for polaroid spectra cameras?

i found a polaroid spectra system MB cam, anyone know why there is no info on the net?? the only pages i found were in russian german and korea, translated of course and they didn't have info except for the price or something.

the cam i have is similar to the spectra system cam, which there is info on the net about. what does the MB mean?

if you guys find a site do let me know thanks!!

Haha~! You're amusing! :bsmilie:

Anyway, the main reason why people are not so keen in polaroid, is mainly due to the cost. As you'd mentioned in your 2nd post, the price of the film (pack of 10) is $16. That means that each shot cost $1.60. This is much much higher than say taking film on a LOMO or 35mm point and shoot camera. Granted that polaroid could offer aspects that a normal film camera can't do, like instant feedback, but isn't that the main advantage of using a digital camera?

If you were to compare the cost per shot of polaroid to that of medium or large format, then the price would be relatively similar (depending on how and what you use on the other formats that is). However, in this case, you lose the amount of control that you'll get from a MF system (like focusing, aperture size selection, shutter speed selection) or from a LF (front tilt, back shift, etc. etc.)

Still, cost aside, I think polaroids are loads of fun for experimentation. I'll be getting polaroid backs for my systems, as soon as I have some spare cash to spare!

Many photofinishing shops sell polariod film, just go around and find one..pretty easy...as for the spectra film...u can also use 1200 film which is easier to find..anways...spectra and 1200 are quite expensive as the film size is bigger than other films... if u want to use polaroids more often..i suggest u get a cheap camera off cash converters (i got mine for only $15) that takes polaroid 600 film, which is much more common and cheaper than spectra film. As for the cost issue...i'm aware that each shot is pretty expensive...but to have the picture there develop right before you is pretty fun and great...ppl who haven't seen a polaroid would find it even more amazing...so in all..it's more like a EXPERIENCE rather than just taking a photo...(but a pretty expensive experience..hahah) so yeah...bring out your polaroid for parties once in awhile...especially with friends you don't meet that often....can capture good memories and have great fun while doing it..(heck..sounds like i'm working polaroid already) so yeah...good luck with your polaroid.. cheers.. =)

Polariods? Hehhhhee.. replicate the scenes from "SHUTTER" hahahahha

Personally I like shooting polariods oso coz the colors are really different although MF is still the way to go (I like my films to be less contrasty and softer)

True that digital camera can give instant feedback but some people just like to frame a photo, so I guess an instant camera is not so bad. However, I guess digital camera nowadays can also developed into photos and frame the photos. Still it's a different feelings, I guess.
