my friend got a black LX3 from The Camera Workshop (TCW) 2 days ago. below 700sgd with 8gb card, case, lcd protector and extra battery. now very happy LX3 owner. haha!

I just bought from "The Camera Workshop" today at $695. But unlike your friend, I received all freebies except for the extra battery!

I just got my camera at MS Color yesterday. $690 if you pay by cash, with extra batt, 8GB card, screen protector and case.

The original leather casing will arrive in April. It's $149 I think. If I recall correctly someone bought it at Best Denki Vivo for $99?

just called alanphoto. the stock will only come in 3/4 weeks time. and the person on the phone super attitude. damm lousy service imo. going to ms color later to get. same thing, $690 with 8gb lexar card, case, screen protector and extra batt.

Hey were you the lady at S-11 MS Colour ~830pm yesterday? i bought at the same bundle too...

A bit disappointed with the service though. Although $690.00 to some isnt big money but i would expect the salesperson to stick on the LCD Protector for the customer...

Did it on my own in the end, luckily ended only with 2-3 strands of dust beneath the sticker, not too bad for myself...

Hey just clarifying, when you guys mean the extra battery, it means that you all have 2 batteries altogether?

I just called up The Camera Workshop and the uncle insisted that there's no extra battery in the package! I only had 1 single battery, 8gb card, case and lcd protector.

If I knew there was no extra battery at such an expensive $695, I wouldn't have bought it from TCW and got it from MS color instead! ;(

Then I told him someone in CS got it earlier in the week, he again stated it was ridiculous. Obviously they won't be earning any money from me anytime soon.

I see. Anyway I called up TCW thrice and insisted on the extra battery that raffaelo said s/he received. The old guy denied giving out the battery at first & even claimed at it's at the IT Show. After that I told him MS color was only selling at $690 with the same package with extra 3rd party battery. He sounded incredulous and said he would check with MS color.

Finally they decide to give me the 3rd party battery. $695 without extra battery is indeed a rip off unless it was first launched!

Actually the bubbles disappeared today, heh. I'm not very concerned about such things lah.

I was planning on buying another case, since I didn't like how the case looked. The case they gave actually works quite well, despite its bulk.

You got the original leather casing from the bundle @ MS Color? Apparently the one given not the official case. $149 is rather steep man. Will prefer something else. The current given one I don't really like it. Bulky, and also need to take off one half of the case when removing card,batt or when using data cable.

Oh serious? I have a KIV for screen protector @ MS Color. Was expecting they will fix it for me when it's ready for collection. Guess not

Yeah happened to me also. Have called both MS Color & AP's before and attitude was a bit turned off.

Nope, I got what everyone got, the bulky one with the metallic Lumix label.

The official leather case, that one that wraps around very nicely the camera (that everyone openly covet, heh), also works the same way. It's a two piece and you have to remove it when changing batt, etc. But it makes the grip much better. I think it's a very smart design, especially for the lcd area.

hi bros...i actually wanna know if anyone of u know how to differentiate whether yr lx3 belongs to the older batch or the newer batch.cos i believe the older batch the firmware is different and something else is different also..

just wanna check out which one mine belongs to..cos i bought it not long ago from a ulu shop in peninsular..
