Where to buy LX3

has anyone tried using D-Lux 4 case to fit LX3? IMHO, a truly classic leather case to fit a legendary cam!
where can we get this case? looks brilliant!!

After much awaiting i finally got my hands on the LX3!!! Got it from MS Color at $679 with all the freebies... Happy because it is a completely new set compared many stores that only have their demo units left of trying to pull a fast one with you.
Trust me guys, there are plenty of guys out there (especially Sim Lim) who may have older stock (that has the original cases) trying to rip you off at different prices. Those that quote you $695 for set and original case are all bull...
BTW, for those of you still trying to get a set, AP at both Funan and SLS all sold out as of yesterday, according to them stocks will be in only two weeks time after next week's IT Show; MS Color only very limited set left, CP still has but selling about $705 (include GST).
Looks like the LX3 getting a decent LX3 at a decent price is not easy afterall. My take is still go for the recommended photo shops by this forum. Don't settle for less!

Looks like they are the only decent guys left that have stock for LX3 and priced reasonably. the craze for the LX3 is fun and when you finally get it at the right price it is rather shiok!
Tip: Guys who are getting, do insist you get a set fresh from the box, not one where it feels rather warm from the box or you see fingerprints all around it especially the lens. - Don't settle for less! :bigeyes:

My guess is some guys are using the BnS to earn income. Like........ buy a used camera then sell it at a higher price. Try to check the post of some sellers, there are someone out there who keep selling on and on. I wonder where do they get their stocks from..:dunno:

AP = 195 for cash.
OP = 160 for cash.
CP = No Stock.

AP at funan still have stock I think. This afternoon called them still have. But I bought the Leica Dlux 4 today instead. Left 5 pieces at AP SL, went to test and love it. Bought at 1200 with original brown case. No SD card though.
I tried the LX3 last week and test Dlux 4 today, I think lens quality leica is different, richer colour and better DOF. But mainly pay more for the L and the 3 years warranty.

Other than those retailers, I believe many sold off their LX3 due to the limited zoom range - of which they should have known before purchasing it, and the onslaught of newer models. I'm happy with it cos it's a go-anywhere cam with pretty good results.

John 3:16 also carries it. Got it today at $1170 with the free case.
my friens goin on a trip to japan, toyko. would it be cheaper to get Lx3 over ther?
but most importantly would i be able to configure it into english?
but actually i feel buying in spore is already cheap.
maybe i should just ask them to help me buy the DMW-CLX3 casing?
in e bay its ard $140-160 exculding shipping cost.
i feel that the casing might be cheaper in JAPAN than Ebay?
anyone have the exprience to share?

Resale items from BnS cost around 600-650. Why not get a brand new set for $679 then you don't have a worry about getting "chopped"

But whereabouts shld i buy so that i can ensure the shop throws in all the things at the price of 679? Maybe i shld bring down a list and make sure they sell it to me with all the things stated. Haha. =p

Try APSL look for Bryan, he's the nicest guy there or MS look for Florence. Call first to check if they have stock.
