Where to buy long firewire cable?

Hi,

I'm looking for a 10 meters or 20 meters
4p-to-6p or
4p-to-4p
firewire cable

So far the longest firewire cable that I could find is 5 metres at a shop in Sim Lim Square.

Any idea where in Singapore I can get a longer one?

Have you checked the shop ISTM @ Sim Lim Sq (#06-29, Tel 63361928)?
The make cable harnesses.

I think 5m is the recommended max length, hence its hard to find them off the shelf any longer than that.
The other option is to get firewire extenders via Cat5e

I had the impression that maximum length of firewire cable is 20 metres

I've seen USB cables extenders using Cat5E cables. but not for firewire cables.
Any idea where to get the firewire wire extenders using CAT5E cable?

I don't think firewire extenders over CAT5E are common here. Not seen them personally.
More common are HDMI & USB extenders.

can custom make at sim lim but i forgot which shop, its got alot of cables on drums out the front of the shop, its in one of the back alleys

Several manufacturers sell firewire cables longer than 5 meters (some up to 50 meters).
