They didn't seal my lenses I bought there (used lenses), nor a new camera body.......where did it happen to you?

BTW: not all shops offer a tax free option. Check with them before buying......

Hi, I am looking for this lens as well. Just curious, does it come with international warranty if you buy it in Japan?

Btw if you don't mind the warranty, ebay US is selling it for about USD$1050.

I did not buy any lense myself, but few of my colleages who bought stuff there said that they would seal the bags and they wun allow u to claim tax refund. They got it at the bigger shops like yodobashi and BIC camera.

The prices are for different shops. This is the price of shops all over japan. so even if it is cheap, the shop might not be located in the area u are visiting.
Look under 3rd coloumn from the right to see location of shop.


You can also try the followin areas to shop around too. Its like their SimLim Square but on a much larger scale.

If you are going tokyo, try akihabara.

If you going Osaka you can try Den Den town...
