Where to buy camcorder

I am looking for HDD camcorder. Which places do you guys reccomend to buy?

i am looking for a hdd camcorder with an external mic input jack.
I am leaning towards sony or JVC initially, but today i just checked that sony does not have any mic input in their low end models.
My budget wise is less than 1.2k. Any suggestions what model can i buy with a mic jack?

If you want, you can go to any sony gallery and talk to the staff for some suggestions. Consider second hand also bah. HDD camcorders are quite ex.
