Where selling Kata SENSITIVITY V & PRISM U backpack in SG and how much is it?

Actually I sent a email to them yesterday and they haven't replied me yet.
But got a reply from the Head office in Israel, the 2 backpack model I'm looking at is not yet available in Singapore yet, will be coming in early 2007. Seems like I have to wait longer, just hope that it does not cost too much. :)

If not wrong, Gin Studio will be the authorised reseller of Kata Bags in SG. Last seen a batch of samples there, and was told most of the stock will be in this mth. :)

kata's 2 owners were former Israeli soldiers. their company also makes bullet-proof vests. since their launch, their cam/video bags have been garnering awards, most recently at TIPA2006. they were even featured in an editorial last yr (IIRC) in shutterbug magazine (since merged with photographic.com).

i've a fren who demoed the shock-absorbency of kata bag by dropping one of their backpacks fully loaded onto the floor. the cam + lenses + flash survived with nary a scratch. ;)

still waiting for someone to bring the bags in en mass so dat the prices can drop. :think:

Got a reply from Gin that the 2 model backpack I'm looking for will only be in Singapore early march. And price will available by next month.
 

I like those Kata bags too... Look good for vacationing.

Just went to Gin Studio. The guy there seems very friendly and I have to admit Kata bags look better than Lowepro. Say he should have the product line in by March.
 

not sure about the models, but i think TK may be bringing in some.. have to check with them..
 

Do own a KATA R-103. Had been carried around and never change. I believe TK is interested in getting the KATAs, since they saw the one I carried. :) .....Maybe I would drop by Gin, to see if they have the bags for studio equipments. :think:

They also don't have stock. Didn't tell me when the stocks would come in.
 

I just visited Gin Studios to check out the Kata bags. Unfortunately they are not selling any of the bags yet, but have secured distributorship for the bags. They will only be selling to shops around April, but their showroom is opened to those curious and want to see their bags.

As for the Sensitivity and Prism bags, I felt the bags and got to look at the interior, the bags are very well designed with no compromise on functionality and style! Loved it, but cannot buy since they are not selling yet... Will post up some photos tomorrow on my trip.
