I go to KT usually. Beautiful Memories is good but they don't print 10 x 15s.

Emm, you have to stick to one printer. Do a test print, calibrate your monitor against the print and set a profile.

Colour off can most probably be due to your monitor calibration. And then Beautiful Memories maybe just nice the profile matches the one on your monitor you see. Again, they are too expensive.

Yes, BM is simply too expensive!!

As for color off, I know what I am talking about.. even if you do not quite understand the differences.

My monitor is calibrated eyeone display.. BM also does calibrated their monitor and printer with eyeone weekly. Which is why I have the most accurate colors printed there.

When I print at KT for example. the printout looks ok. But if you compare the same photo and printed on my own printer and in BM, you will realise a lot of difference. :sticktong But Michelle always give me good service! :lovegrin:

My friends and I have done similiar tests with a few labs. Including the one in Adelfie Basement, etc. And the tests were done with both film and digital (edited with PS).

Hope you not going to tell me about film exposure or calibration now do you? ;p

last friday I was in hurry before my CNY trip, the pretty gal Michele(If I am not mistaken) actually rush mine photos while there were still long Q in the printers, this is what I call good service :thumbsup:

the prints from BM are good, plus they aren't as busy as places like konota or KT, so you usually get their full attention, and you can get large prints back quickly. but yes, they are super expensive :cry:

KT is generally ok, quality more consistent than some of those horrible neighbourhood shops. plus the prices are pretty good. quite fast too. recommended for day to day. plus nearby got lots of yummy food in chinatown :bsmilie:

it is better to calibrate the printer as well since it is also not 100% accurate.. so far I find HP printers pretty good, I'm using a DeskJet 9650... but it' still back to cost of ink cartridges too.. :cry:

Since I seldom print on my own printer.. I did not calibrate it. The printer calibration kit too ex for me.. lolx :bsmilie:
