since both can add filtes and lens
both got the same manuals functions example only the G3 got buitlin ND filtres :)

gotta consider what you're gonna be shooting...then match the cam to yr needs... both the g3 n the 602 have their pros n cons...

hey, quote is quote, perhaps if you go down and whip out some cash, and reverse quote him, perhaps he might waver...:p

but seriously, if you go down, you might get to bargain with him. and he might throw in other stuff as well, e.g. incl GST, incl. original Fuji 602Z pouch..

Know of this tatic, frequently used by saleman. They can sell you the camera that you want at the so-called quoted price. But then after that, they will persuade the buyers to buy its accessories which they can jack up the prices (of which you may not have the quote). So rule of thumb, get all the quotes you want and buy only those you have quotes. Can always get other stuffs another time when have quote, right?

does it signal new model coming out soon?

Really doubt so. The latest is the 602Z Pro, which is released in US and Europe (according to a Fuji technician I spoke to couple of months back), and will not be available in Asia.

So if there is a new model to replace the 602Z Pro, it will not be that soon, as it has just been recently released.

Don't buy Sandisk. It's slow and for a fast camera like 602, you'll want to get a fast card like RiData.

ok will ask AP to change to Ridata for me ~ !! hope they have stock ~ veri anGry still !! but I must say 602 is a veri good camera ~ only thing lacking is f2.8 they should have designed to make it go lower ~ and 3 mp native ! ayoo such a pity ~ should have made it like 5 or more !!

hey dude, sorry to hear about the transcend..am quite surprised that it cannot read. When you bring it down to change, do bring you camera along to try the new card:)

ya, calm down calm down, just bring ur cam together to try out the card.

ok changed the card ~ and working fine now ! tok some nice pics of a concert in a club very dark enviroment but managed some really nice shots !

now deciding if I should get a 602 or a 5050 the f1.8 feature on the 5050 might be useful ~ any comments ?

i would say both are good cameras, in the end, it depends on your budget and requirements.

So ah-hong, have you bought your Oly C-5050Z yet? Thought you were considering and considering.. about getting it for your ROM .. :)

ROM no need consider la, once in a life time event !

Same brand transcend, I think thew 1st one they sold me was faulty, thus can conclude that its compatible with 602 ~

:D

now looking for a 602 for my self ~ any one selling pls call me 90218880 presently using my friends one ~

Actually, it is a not a fair comparison. The 5050Z is a 5MP camera with 3X optical zoom, while the 602Z is a 3MP, with 6X zoom. And I seriously doubt at 6MP, the 602Z can match the 5MP Oly 5050.

BUT all said, I do think that the 602Z edges ahead in terms of its AF speed and minimal shutter release lag. This is the 602Z strength, which makes wedding shoots more manageable (hint hint to Hong).

Also, between 3X optical zoom and 6X optical zoom, while it is really a matter of personal needs and preference, but i think big zoom does offer more shooting flexibilities. Zoo trips, concert photos, children's birthday parties, the 602Z is really quite versatile.

Yes, f1.8 does seem to mean good performance under low light. But there are other factors other than aperture size that determines low light performance. On the 602Z, this can be overcome by using an external flash. Face it, under most low light conditions, one will need to use an external flash anyways to overcome camera shake.

:D
