Where do you guys get the MONEY for a 5DmkII ????

LOL, I already expected the unmarried sis-in-law questions. I get that alot, even from my friends, when they ask how much I paid for my gear. But unfortunately, my wife is the only child.
Actually, my gear is a gift of sorts from my father-in-law, I even tried to reject it cos everything costs almost 14k! Its too much for me as a gift, but he was very insistant, even my wife and mother-in-law asked me to take it. Personally, I am not the type of person who will take advantage of anyone, I prefer getting things with my own ability. Delay gratification or whatever, I get an immense sense of satisfaction when I am able to get something by my own ability.
That being said, so far, all my cameras, from a Sony 5.1mp, a Oly 8mp and now the 5d2, I did not spend a single cent on them. The first 2 I gotten in lucky draws in 2 consecutive years, and you guys know abt the 5d2 lah.

Well, you pretty much spent about $3400 dollars on your current list already. Not sure if you have more unlisted item. Just another 2K and you have it.

You are going to need decent glass to use with the 5D2 anyway. Suggest you build up on your lenses before thinking of a body upgrade.
LOL, i just sold my 70-200f4. shucks. my Ls are going 1 by 1. but i will be back with IS version.

the easiest way out for me is to go sell backside... hahaha. backside for sale, immediately able to start work. =D
though i know lens is the way to go, but at least have a comparable body to last for awhile. i have used my 400D to the max bottle neck already. cant push anymore out of it. I have been pushing the ISO up to the limit and it still can give me the satisfaction to tat of a 5DmkII and the sensor is just tooooooo......... old. haha
by the time i have saved enuff, the 5D mk III wld have been launched. =D

Let's say...
5D Mark II body - SGD 3.8K
You save 10 bucks a day = average 300 bucks a month = 300 x 12 = SGD 3.6K!
Saving $10 a day, and you can get a 5DII new within 13 months!
why wait for 13 months when you can use credit card and pay for 12 or even 24 months? better right?!

TS, sounds like u want the 5DMkII purely out of gear lust, rather than you need one out of pure photographic necessity. Thus, if you dun have the extra money to spare, then save up for it first la.
If you can say that you have used the 400D to the max, then I dun think you understand photography at all.

just check your past posting, I think that is more like you want the 5DmkII then you need it, anyway, why don't just work hard and save for the 5D mk III.
