Where could i learn Final Cut Pro?

Dear All,
i'm a video newbie and would like to know where i could find a school that offers affordable Final Cut Pro programme.

I looked into the web and found a few places, like one "Media" training provider at Waterloo Street, an "Audio Engineering" school at Upper Circular Road, as well as a "Media Acadamy" at Merchant Road.

Are there other workshops i could consider too?

My advise is bite the bullet, purchase the app and just start trying to use the software. There's nothing you can't learn from the amount of free video tutorials out there in youtube.

Singapore Media Academy does have short courses, but I am not sure if they have FCP X courses.
I used to train participants at a higher level in post production, but we mainly use FCP 7 as a demo platform.
Some of the courses are WDA approved, thus you can get some form of training grant.
Check with the course administrators.

I never kept up with the ongoings of School of Audio Engineering, but I believe their main courses are Diploma & Degree courses. Don't know if they have short courses specifically for FCP.

Don't know about the 'media' training provider at Waterloo, but if it is what I know at the same area, it should be "AV8 Media".
Not sure about the courses they offer too.

You may want to check out other editing apps like Avid Media Composer or Premiere too.

Thank you very much for the advice of simply getting the software and start using it. FCP is just under S$400, while a workshop easily cost S$800-S$1200.

It didn't cross my mind but now it makes a lot sense, considering how i started using some photo-editing software without any initial knowledge.

I been told it's better to get the s/w n self taught from online tutorial. I going for AE anyway.

There are many online tutorials which you can watch and learn. No need to go to class.
