Someone else said that the Gitzo isn't as sturdy as the Benbo - why is that so?

It is the way the various sections locked together. In the Gitzo, there is always a part that "wobbles" a little.

Hi guys,

Dennis - I am not familiar with that series either (so I don't know about what is replacing what), and I guess 4 parts makes for easier storage? Personally, I think 3 parts will be ok so as not to do too much adjusting.

Student - erk, so much to pay for wobby equipment :(( That doesn't sound like a resounding 'yes, let's buy it!' so I guess I'll hold for now.

Maybe I'll keep my eye out for that used benbo trekker that randomly pops up now and then. lol I think the last one in this forum sold for S$80. Quite a decent price.

Cheers,
Nobu
