Hello everyone,

Can anybody out there tell me where can I find the Manuka Honey (please see picture below) here in Singapore? Also, it would be great if we can share the price for this item.

TIA.

Try Mustafa shopping center...they got a wide range of honey (australia, new zealand, etc etc)

Not sure if they got the one in the photo. Go there and look around, u be surprised.
(yes i think there's manuka honey, but other brands)

Thanks sbs99, for the info. :)

Anyone can shed more light on this particular brand that I am looking for? (actually looking for a relative :) )

Why must it be this particular brand?
Is it special/better or something?

I don't know leh. Just that my relative e-mailed me asking me to get it for him...
For me personally, I don't even know what does 'Manuka' mean...

Heard of this honey before... something like - this honey isn't used for eating, but for treating skin problems. The bees that make this honey get their pollen from this plant that is native to New Zealand, something like that....

Haven't seen it before in Singapore, but yeah, as sbs99 said, try Mustafa.

No, you can eat it.
It's just that it has medicinal qualities and it doesn't come cheap.
$50-60 for a 250g bottle.

Hello Canew:

You can buy the Manuka Honey in local pharmacy like Natural Farm, but not the brand you are looking for.

Manuka Honey has very rich medicine value. It is known for its antibacterial property.
Our body natural enzyme will destroy the antibacterial property in most honey.
Honey with higher UMF number, will remain stable and potent in our body to fight off infection.

Do not use warm water and a metal spoon when taking honey, as it will breakdown its antibacterial activity.

To me it is a good “Alternative” supplements for patients undergoing radiotherapy and suffer from internal infection. Remember it is “Alternative” not medically proven yet in this case.

May I know what so special about this brand?

Silence Sky, thanks for the info.

As mentioned, I also don't know.

UPDATE: Called my relative asking him for the importance of brand. He said no need to get this particular brand (Convita). But must get UMF 20+.

Now I don't understand what does UMF 20+ mean??? Just that Silence Sky mentioned that it is more 'potent.'

the higher the number , the more health beneficial it is , i consume manuka honey before , but its more a on n off thing , as it can be expensive with the higher the number,

i got mine at marina square , near the Giant super store .

after consumpttion , i feel more energetic, less tired .

You might also wanna try the Giant at Parkway. They've got a small corner selling such honey..I'm consuming some of these manuka honey myself with UMF 5+..20+ would mean its for more serious probs..:)
