Heard of this honey before... something like - this honey isn't used for eating, but for treating skin problems. The bees that make this honey get their pollen from this plant that is native to New Zealand, something like that....

No, you can eat it.
It's just that it has medicinal qualities and it doesn't come cheap.

You can buy the Manuka Honey in local pharmacy like Natural Farm, but not the brand you are looking for.
Manuka Honey has very rich medicine value. It is known for its antibacterial property.
Our body natural enzyme will destroy the antibacterial property in most honey.
Honey with higher UMF number, will remain stable and potent in our body to fight off infection.
Do not use warm water and a metal spoon when taking honey, as it will breakdown its antibacterial activity.
To me it is a good Alternative supplements for patients undergoing radiotherapy and suffer from internal infection. Remember it is Alternative not medically proven yet in this case.

UPDATE: Called my relative asking him for the importance of brand. He said no need to get this particular brand (Convita). But must get UMF 20+.
Now I don't understand what does UMF 20+ mean???

You might also wanna try the Giant at Parkway. They've got a small corner selling such honey..I'm consuming some of these manuka honey myself with UMF 5+..20+ would mean its for more serious probs..
