UPDATE: Have bought the gumsticks from the shop that Bro afbug recommended. I went around other shops. No other shops have the gumstick that I was looking for (Ni-MH). Other shops were selling Ni-Cd gumstick rechargeables. Bought 2 pcs. SANYO Twicell 1400 mAh (HF-A1U). Price: $15 each. The shop owner was reluctant to reduce the price when I asked for a price reduction.

If too expensive, then it is time to retire the portable CD player already. Then look for a mp3 player. But I like CD players because:

• I felt CD are more convenient. No need to rip, upload, delete, etc. Just change the CD.
• CD sound quality is better than mp3? (of course, this is debatable) :sweat:

I am still using portable cassette player :cry:
