Not too certain where to get digital ones.

I have seen analog ones at hardware shops in shopping centres. There is a hardware shop chain usually found at malls, I forget the name. Try there. They may stock digital ones too....

You should able to get the digital humidity indicator @ SLS and DIY shops at Marina Square (next to Giant), 3rd floor Centrepoint. ;)

i bought one from homefix.

think the price is under 20 bucks.

I bought mine (digital temp/humidity indicator) from Giant at Parkway. I've also seen it being sole at hardware shops (e.g. Homefix). Hope that helps.

I also want to buy one. If you want to have a lot of options and compare prices. Than go sim lim tower (not square). I went there during new year eve, saw a lot of options. But a lot of shops close so in the end never buy. So far cheapest I survey is S$22.50 at a bargain shop at first floor and S$20.90 at basement (only left one piece and it look old...). I wll go there again soon, kenna reservist and IPPT  .

Check out one shop at the basement, it sells a lot of humidity indicator. You can see all at it's window display (close when I went there). Sorry I never remerber the name, its not hard to find as I remember its near the escalator.

Hope it helps.

Sorry for the double post???

thanks to all who had replied.

now I have some ideas where to buy a new one liao.

I've seen a set of thermometer and hygrometer (2 separarted items but bundled together)being sold for less than $8 at home-fix. I think it is meant for cars. Not sure if can be used for drycab buti think should be the same. ;)

Technically, it should be the same. But they may not be as sensitivity as the expensive ones. Consider this meter is use to indicate the condition of the dry cabinet that store proably thousands $$$ worth of equipment. ;)

today i went to Home Fix at Marina Square. The cheapest is $28..and the shape is abit weird.
Did not get it.

will visit sim lim tower in next 2 days.

To add on, it will be good to confirm if your humidity reading is accurate.
I have an analogue type and the reading is about 16% offset from a calibrated hydrometer.

my experience is that most analogue hydrometer does not show accurate reading at all.

thus, i changed to digital one.

hi, buddy, my experience to control fungus growth have 3:
1. wipe clean the body of gear first and external dust
2. use silicon gel to check the humidity of dry/box or cabin
3. UV light (inside the dry cabin) for 1hour/day kill all microrganism.

hope helpful for u and all people interested...

Nit-picker strikes again :bsmilie:
hygrometer -- device for measuring RH
hydrometer -- device for measuring specific density (marine aquarium people use this to measure how much salt is in the sea water)

opps...thanks for the correction.

have been several Home Fix and DIY shops...either it is too expensive..or too tua ling gong.

look like i have no luck ...but to go Sim Lim Tower to look around.
