Need it in 5 days.
Someone's selling glidetracks at the buy n sell forum, but he doesn't reply.
Anyone know a store that sells them?

Want to know too, but I'm not feeling very hopeful that they're sold here. All the best in your search!

cathay photo has some sliders.

thanks! I called Catahy. they have it.

but its 460 SGD for the 0.6metere slider (locally made). waaah.

Indislider is just 100 USD.

not all sliders are made the same =)

you get what you pay for man.

i know guy who bought the indislider cause it was cheap only to sell after using it for a few times to buy the locally made one. =P

Are there any reviews on the locally made one? Was it the one that Dan Chung used and commented about in his Singapore Turf Club shoot?

thats one of them.

think the one at cathay is a newer improved lightweight version. same maker though.

i got mine from them after my friend introduced me to them. The sales staff is very helpful. They are a precision engineering company but they have served many indie filmmakers who get the rails from them. I heard from the sales guy some clients even fly from indonesia to buy the slider so the company is really surprised by the response from the film community.

Only issue is.. u will have to "zhng" it like drill & tap a 1/4-20 threaded hole on the sliding plate to accomodate a tripod head. I also put a stopper at each end to prevent the sliding plate from sliding off the rail. But its really good fun. & very cheap. About $200+ I think. Best thing is that they can cut the rail to any length u want. So mine is 120cm, which is just nice for me

Got my slider from Igus last year.
I drilled a 3/8" hole on the carriage to mount a fluid head.
On the rail I drilled 2 x 1/4" holes and a 3/8" hole for tripod mounting.

Cheers!
