This is another potential thread that will lead to flame war.

This is not the first time people comparing the ISO or noise level between Nikon & Canon. Why is there a need to keep repeating? If you think that Nikon or Canon is good due to whatever reasons, just go for it.

I suggest that the thread starter closes the thread or asks the Mod to transfer your thread to other appropriate sub-forums.

This is defnitely a wrong forum to post such a thread.

USM:

Frankly, I'm wondering how it went OT so much from just a discussion on how one's feel when they first handle the 200D to the discussion on ISO and such.

My bad for answering those OT reply.

So can we get back to the original thread on how you feel when you first handle the 200D as a Canon User.

Cheers

Sorry can't answer that question as I seldom use high ISO thus I'm unable to compare with and w/o noise reduction. According the some reviews in the webby, it seems to have reduce some details but not visible unless you do a 100% crop on a particular spot/ area.
Kinda curious, what is the largest photo u'd ever printed for a non-commercial print? :dunno:

These dayz, I only refer to review websites for technical specs and image samples and not for nitty things like "D200 photo, 100% crop at ISO3200" vs "EOS 30D photo, 100% crop at ISO3200".

I'll look and refer to the photos shot at high ISO viewed at regular viewing size and not crazily blown 100% crops.

Just another silly flame bait.
Don't fall for it.
People got nothing better to do.
D200? dunno leh. Only tried my friend's D2X. Nice.
Now why would I want to try the D200 after the D2X?
That's a downgrade, right?
Does that mean Nikon is good? Yes.
Canon is good too.
Both are excellent companies.

Well said. Even it's a OT for the thread.

This is a open discussion abt feeling not flaming. Just like to find out what others feel, that's all.

From my previous post

"We're here to exchange ideas and pointers to enrich our photographic skill and not to scrutinize each other of their ideas/thought."
