mine's the 5b so no built in metering. meter by eye lor. helps me appreciate the technical part of it rather than depend on the meter. just developed a roll which i test shot. most are usable but can see from the negs that many are under. gonna work on it more. dun mind though, cos it's just so fun. it goes to school with me everyday now, except when i'm bringing out the big boys (my SLR).

note to all: ... REMEMBER TO TAKE OFF THE LENS CAP!! a couple of times i whipped out my fed-5, lined up a shot and almost let fly before realising the cap was still on :embrass:
too used to TTL :dunno:

Has anyone tried using Industar 61 L/D on the Zorki 4 replacing its standard 50mm f/3.5 len. the thread is the same n it fits snuggly but just wonder if there is any alignment problem when pictures come out.

Russian camera are known to have alignment issue when fitted with different standard len. Normally need to send to workshop to align. something which i read.

Any comments?

Giddy, you have the same as mine. also bring it everywhere. For exposure, I use this guide:
http://www.fredparker.com/ultexp1.htm and I shd say I have only 1-2 exposure is off. Now I can actually do quite well. Comparing my Pentax lens, Canon EF lens and other 3rd parties, I have yet to find 1 that outperforming the industar-61 for my taste. I too forgot to remove cap haha, ave. 2 per 36 exposures for the 1st 3 rolls. Afterthat, it became a habit, no issue :)

Did you fine-tune your focus screw? Then it will be ultimate! Fed has diopter correction so I remove my glasses when shooting, very good.

Now I always shoot slide and print to CDR. All for $9.90 only. Then if I want to make print, will cherry pick from there. You have any test pictures to see?
:)
